Viola Etain
Even though we will be moving, and don't really need to be investing in plants... I simply fell in love with this little plant today..., her name is Viola "Etain" and she is just exquisite with her primrose yellow petals edged in contrasting periwinkle blue.., not to mention her deliciously sweet fragrance...,, I will put her in a beautiful pot and take her with us when we move... I'd like to do that with all of my roses too. They have brought me so much joy over the past few years. (sighhhhhhhhhh)
I found this lovely poem about violets.. , hope you like it...
The Violet by Jane Taylor
Down in a green and shady bed,
A modest Violet grew;
Its stalk was bent, it hung its head
As if to hide from view.
And yet it was a lovely flower,
Its color bright and fair;
It might have graced a rosy bower,
Instead of hiding there.
Yet thus it was content to bloom,
In modest tints arrayed;
And there diffused a sweet perfume,
Within the silent shade.
Then let me to the valley go
This pretty flower to see;
that I may also learn to grow
In sweet humility.
